Our Services
At IMEMidwestMileHigh, we specialize in occupational medicine, particularly in providing Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) across Iowa, Colorado, and Wisconsin. Our board-certified physician conducts comprehensive medical evaluations to deliver accurate evaluations and assessments for workers' compensation IMEs, disability cases, and personal injury claims. In addition to IMEs, we offer chart reviews, fitness for duty evaluations, impairment ratings in the AMA Guides 3rd edition revised, the 5th edition and the 6th edition as well as with the Wisconsin Disability booklet. We also offer depositions and live trial testimony.
Meet Dr. Broghammer
Dr. Broghammer grew up in North Central Iowa. After graduating high school, he pursued an education in pharmacy. Unsatisfied with the challenge, he decided to pursue a Master of Business Administration with the intention of going into hospital administration. After attending several organizational meetings, he quickly realized his true passion was medicine. Dr. Broghammer completed medical school at the University of Iowa obtaining his MD in 1999. After completing a rotating internship, a colleague introduced Dr. Broghammer to Occupational Medicine. Intrigued by study of toxicology, industrial medicine, and general orthopedics, Dr. Broghammer began residency training in Occupational Medicine at the University of Iowa. During residency training, he also completed his Master of Public Health. After graduating in 2002, Dr. Broghammer began a long career of clinical medicine, which continues to the present day. Dr. Broghammer is board certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Occupational Medicine and is licensed in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Colorado.

Our Philosophy
My IME practice has focused on worker's compensation, but I have also completed IME's for litigated personal injury cases and long-term disability claims. I base my opinions on medical fact and a detailed analysis of the medical records as well as a comprehensive history and physical examination. Sample IME reports are available, upon request. I am residency trained and board certified in Occupational Medicine by The American Board of Preventive Medicine. I am also a Registered Pharmacist with active licenses in Iowa and Minnesota and an inactive license in Nebraska. I have completed several IMEs from a pharmacy perspective. My clients include attorneys, insurers, case managers, employers and injured workers. I have IME offices in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Des Moines, Iowa; Greenwood Village, Colorado; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Appleton, Wisconsin; and Menomonie, Wisconsin. I have Level II Full Accreditation in Colorado and am trained in the AMA Guides 3rd ed. revised, 5th edition & 6th edition. I am also familiar with assigning impairment utilizing Wisconsin's guidelines and their WKC-16. I have completed over 2000 IMEs, impairment ratings, and chart reviews.
